§ 2-121. Jurisdiction.

  • (a)

    The special master shall have the power to hear ordinances which are to be enforced pursuant to this division including, but not limited to:

    (1)

    Chapter 4, pertaining to alcoholic beverages;

    (2)

    Chapter 6, pertaining to animals;

    (3)

    Chapter 10, article II, pertaining to nuisances;

    (4)

    Chapter 14, pertaining to offenses;

    (5)

    Chapter 18, pertaining to solid waste; and

    (6)

    Appendix A to this Code, pertaining to zoning.

    (b)

    The special master shall have the jurisdiction and authority to hear and to decide alleged violations of all codes and ordinances of the town, unless otherwise prohibited by law. The jurisdiction of the special master shall not be exclusive. Any alleged violation of any of the aforesaid codes and ordinances may be pursued by appropriate remedy in court at the option of the town council.
